Welcome to the mock up world

The Web Committee will be meeting today for the 5th time, if I am counting right. The goal is ambitious -- to try to settle down on a structural recommendation to the web developer, the WeST Group at Arts and Sciences, soon to be part of the OIT.

Here are a couple of things that will be the basis for today's discussion.

For a working "wireframe" model (i.e., the structure, not the presentation), see

For WeST group's first mock-ups, see here

Here are my aesthetic comments on the mock-up designs. I think the mock-ups look good in general--thanks to Gary and the commitee for your work on this! I like sample 1 because of its simple, sleek lines--the pictures and the placement of text all flow nicely together with no harsh edges. The fonts are also modern looking and cool. It's also nice to have multiple pictures visible at once. Would these be fixed or changing? I like 3b also for its more sleek design, but I might be swayed in part by the super-cool picture! 3b would be better with more modern looking fonts. I like the sans-serif fonts that are curvy and sleek looking.

I agree with Amy tha t Sample 1 has the cleanest lines and I like the 4 photos. I do not like the font choice-very old fashioned and I don't like having both P & N and Psychology and Neuroscience on the top lines. You can just highlight the letters and ampersand and get the same effect.

On the graduate page mock up, you have parsed the programs incorrectly. They should be:

Integrative and Systems Neuroscience
Cognitive Psychology
Cognitive, Social and Affective Neuroscience
Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience
Clinical Psychology
Social Psychology
Developmental Psychology.

Hi Tina,

thanks for pointing out the errors. I corrected the links on the mock up site.
